Who are you?
Gavin Magee, now living in Whitstable (Kent), but originally from Paisley (in Scotland).
What is your part in Non-Stick Fit?
Well, it all started when I went shopping in a well-known Department store in Welwyn Garden City. I tried on a few trendy brands of shirts in L and XL (I like comfortable fit) and was gutted to find that I either bulged out everywhere or was unable to move in case I asphyxiated! I got to indignant very quickly and thought to myself how poor it was that some manufacturers make clothes that probably didn’t fit the majority of the population, and were in fact designed for stick people. I had this picture of a stick person inside a red circular road sign as a logo. I knew Sarah from church and was aware of her expertise in graphics and design and so a few conversations around the concept, evaluation of some prototypes and the current Non-Stick Fit logo was born.
What do you do when you're not doing that?
The day job is developing medicines for the treatment of respiratory diseases (e.g. asthma).
Why are you doing this?
I think it’s a great concept in principle that can make a positive statement about self-image. Its also very fulfilling to see how an idea can come alive (with a little help from our friends... Matt... awesome!)
